Trenance Gardens (within a mile of Newquay) A tranquil and sheltered area within a mile of Newquay town centre. The formal gardens are criss-crossed by rustic bridges across streams running into the boating lake next to the beautiful Gannel estuary, which is a haven for British wildlife. The gardens flourish with exotic trees, plats and shrubs. Also home to the Waterworld swimming complex, Newquay Zoo, Crazy Golf and a mini train ride. Take the Newquay Road Safari Train into the town centre.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan (Pentewan, St Austell, 17m / 38 min drive from Newquay)
(Summer: open 10am - 6pm, last tickets at 4.30pm. Open every day except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)
Rediscovered in 1990 after slumbering for over 70 years, and over the last 10 years restored to their former glory and now one of Cornwall's best gardens.
